The Baolan high-speed rail, which opened on July 9, is an important part of my country's four vertical and four horizontal high-speed rail network. This high-speed rail network has been initially completed. In the future, it will be more densely woven to achieve eight vertical and eight horizontal. What is the traffic context of the eight vertical and eight horizontal lines that have been said for a long time? Today we will take a look.
"Four Vertical and Four Horizontal": Two Sections to Be Completed
The four vertical lines include: Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway/Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway/Beijing-Harbin passenger dedicated line/southeast coastal passenger dedicated line
The four horizontal lines include: Xu-Lan Passenger Dedicated Line/Shanghai-Kunming Passenger Dedicated Line/Qing-Tai Passenger Dedicated Line/Shanghai-Han-Rong Passenger Dedicated Line
With the opening and operation of the Baolan high-speed railway, the vertical Beijing-Shenyang high-speed railway and the horizontal Qingdao-Shijiazhuang high-speed railway are still under construction.
2025: High-speed rail mileage will double to form a "eight vertical and eight horizontal" network
As of the end of 2016, the operating mileage of China's high-speed rail has reached 22000 kilometers, accounting for more than 60% of the world's total high-speed rail operating mileage. The national development and Reform Commission and other departments have made it clear that by 2025, the mileage of China's high-speed railway will reach 38000km, almost double that of the present, and form a "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail network.
The construction of Baolan high-speed railway started at the end of 2012, with a main line length of more than 400km, including 45.74km in Shaanxi Province and 354.9km in Gansu Province, with a design speed of 250 km/h. Yang Yanmin
"Eight vertical and eight horizontal": the closer distance of the high-speed rail network is extended.
Compared with the original four vertical lines, the changes of the eight vertical high-speed railways are that the coastal corridor extends northward from Shanghai to Dandong, Liaoning, and southward from Shenzhen to Fangchenggang in Guangxi. The Beijing-Harbin, Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao channels are opened from north to south. On the basis of the original Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, the Beijing-Shanghai channel adds a new channel from Beijing-Tianjin intercity extension to Shanghai via Dongying, Weifang, Linyi, Linyi, Huai'an, Yangzhou and Nantong.
In addition to these changes on the original basis, a number of new planned routes have been added. The four new ones of the eight horizontal lines are from north to south: Suifenhe passes through Mudanjiang, Harbin, Qiqihar and Hailar to Manzhouli; Beijing passes through Hohhot and Yinchuan to Lanzhou; Xiamen passes through Longyan, Ganzhou, Changsha and Zhangjiajie to Chongqing; Guangzhou passes through Nanning to Kunming.
