Recently, Guangdong Province plans to focus on promoting the construction of major infrastructure projects such as roads, railways and airports during the 13th five-year Plan period, with a total investment of about 4.8 trillion yuan to build 543 projects. By 2020, the formation of highways, high-speed railways, airports, ports, nuclear power, urban rail and other modern infrastructure supply capacity.
High-speed railway: about 136 billion investment to build 11 high-speed rail projects. At present, the density of high-speed railway in Guangdong Province is 0.83 kilometers/100 square kilometers, but the high-speed railway skeleton network in the province has not yet formed.
It is planned to invest about 136 billion yuan from 2017 to 2020 to build 11 high-speed railway projects from Guangzhou via Shanwei to Shantou, Shenzhen to Maoming and Ganzhou to Shenzhen, with a mileage of 2000 kilometers, forming a backbone network of "five vertical and two horizontal" high-speed railways connecting the west bank of the Strait in the east, the Yangtze River Delta, Guangxi and Guizhou in the west, Hunan and Jiangxi in the north and the Central Plains in the city, with the surrounding land adjacent provinces are access to high-speed rail.
With an investment of about 130 billion yuan, 22 Pearl River Delta intercity railway projects including Guangzhou-Foshan Ring Line, Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen, Xintang through Baiyun Airport to Guangzhou North will be built. The planning and construction of the eastern Guangdong intercity railway will be started. The 650-kilometer intercity railway will basically form the main framework of the Pearl River Delta intercity railway with Guangzhou as the core, running through the north and south and connecting the east and west sides of the Pearl River Delta.
