Taiyuan-Jiaozuo intercity railway, of which Shanxi Province is 328.178 kilometers long and Henan Province is 33.917 kilometers long. The starting point is Taiyuan South Railway Station and the ending point is Jiaozuo Station of Zhengjiao Intercity Railway. The design speed is 250 kilometers per hour, involving Xiaodian District and Qingxu County of Taiyuan City, Yuci District, Taigu County and Yushe County of Jinzhong City, Wuxiang County, Qin County, Xiangyuan County, Lucheng City, Suburb, Urban District, Changzhi County, Gaoping City and Zezhou County of Jincheng City.
There are 13 stations along the Taijiao high-speed railway. There are 11 stations in Shanxi, including Taiyuan South, Xinming Li, Jinzhong, Taigu East, Yushe West, Wuxiang West, Xiangyuan East, Changzhi East, Changzhi County, Gaoping East and Jincheng East. Among them, Taiyuan South, Xinming Li and Jinzhong stations are existing reconstruction stations and the rest are newly built stations. Boai Station and Jiaozuo Station are set up in Henan.
After the opening of the Taijiao Railway, it will be connected with the current Zhengzhou-Jiaozuo intercity railway to form a "dot" on the left of the Henan-meter-shaped high-speed railway ". The bullet train from Taiyuan to Zhengzhou will no longer bypass Shijiazhuang, but can directly go south along Jinzhong, Changzhi and Jincheng into Jiaozuo City, Henan Province. The distance will be greatly shortened, and the running time will be shortened from the current 4 hours to about 2 hours. In fact, Taijiao high-speed rail, as a major channel out of the province in southeastern Shanxi, will play an inestimable role in stimulating investment growth in the region and the development of related service industries.

On January 18, after more than 900 days and nights of fierce fighting by more than 1200 builders, the Shennong Tunnel, a high-risk extra-long tunnel with the earliest construction, the most complex geology, the highest risk and the most difficult construction, was successfully completed. This is the first tunnel in the super-long tunnel over 10 kilometers of Taijiao high-speed railway.
The smooth completion of Shennong tunnel has laid a solid foundation for the early completion and opening of Taijiao high-speed railway. It is just around the corner for Shanxi people to realize their dream of taking high-speed rail out of Taihang.
2, Changzhi territory's first very high-risk tunnel through.
On May 1, Yunzhu Tunnel, the first extremely high-risk tunnel of Taijiao (Zuo) high-speed railway located in Wuxiang, was safely opened.
After a burst of blasting, dust filled the entire tunnel, and the shock wave carried the dust to the face. The entrance is in Xiaoliang Village, Shibei Township, Wuxiang County, and the exit is in Shenqian Village, Yongquan Township, Wuxiang County. The 3850-meter-long Yunzhu Tunnel is officially opened.
The head of the project department of Taijiao High-speed Railway No.4 Project Department of the 12th Bureau of China Railway said that among the 48 tunnels on the whole line of Taijiao High-speed Railway, Yunzhu Tunnel is one of the two extremely high-risk tunnels assessed by China Railway Corporation.
3. The first section of Taijiao high-speed railway super-long tunnel was successfully completed.
On May 8, Xiangyuan Tunnel, an extra-long tunnel of Taijiao high-speed railway, went through the first section of the tunnel from the exit of the tunnel to the third inclined shaft after two and a half years of hard work. The two construction teams successfully joined forces, marking the realization of the first phased important node construction target by speeding up the construction of Xiangyuan Tunnel. At present, the total output value of the construction and installation project of the tunnel has been 0.769 billion yuan since the start of construction, accounting for 91.6 per cent of the total investment, and the excavation of the main tunnel has been completed by 8225 meters, which is expected to be fully completed in October this year.
