Recently, the Shanghai Railway Bureau Group Co., Ltd. issued a message that the Yangtze River Delta Railway will gradually expand the scope of application and implementation of e-tickets. All high-speed rail and EMU train stops (excluding EMU trains operating on ordinary speed lines) within the administration, including Ninghai Station, will soon implement e-tickets. This means that the traditional paper train tickets will gradually withdraw from the stage of history.
It is reported that from November 12 to mid-December, Shanghai Railway plans to implement e-ticket business in batches. Among them, the first batch of 45 stations, including Nanjing South Railway Station, Hangzhou East Railway Station and Tonglu, have started the promotion of e-ticket application since November 12. With the adoption of e-tickets, even if passengers buy tickets at windows or self-service ticketing machines, the railway department will no longer issue paper tickets, but will only print out a long ticket purchase information sheet.
When entering the station and checking tickets, passengers who hold second-generation ID cards or permanent residence permits for foreigners, residence permits for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents, permits for Hong Kong and Macao residents to travel to and from the mainland, and permits for Taiwan residents to travel to and from the mainland can directly use their certificates for self-service verification and ticket checking. If a user is registered on the 12306 website and APP and the face identity verification is successfully completed through the 12306 mobile phone APP, the entry and exit ticket checking procedures can be directly handled through the station automatic ticket checking machine with the dynamic two-dimensional code generated by the 12306 mobile phone APP after purchasing the electronic ticket. If passengers need reimbursement, they can exchange reimbursement vouchers at the station window or self-service machine with the original ID before driving or within 30 days from the date of boarding.
