In accordance with the deployment requirements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on the resumption of construction projects and the start of new projects, the railway department actively communicates and coordinates with local governments based on the actual conditions of key projects, scientifically formulates the resumption of construction projects, and clarifies the management and control of personnel entering the site. Epidemic prevention and control measures and emergency plans will promote the resumption of key railway projects in an orderly manner.

As of February 18, 2020, 341 construction sites of 17 key railway projects directly managed by the State Railway Group, including the Beijing section of the Beijing-Shenyang high-speed railway, the Daxing Airport-Xiongan section of the Beijing-Xiongan intercity railway, and the Lhasa-Nyingchi railway. Among them, the Changde-Yiyang-Changsha railway and the Zhangjiajie-Jishou-Huaihua railway have resumed work. A total of 116 projects are planned to be put into operation and continued this year. At present, 28 projects and 384 important work sites are resuming construction in an orderly manner, with more than 70000 people present.

Railway construction project management agencies and construction units adhere to epidemic prevention and control and construction safety and quality, fully implement joint prevention and control measures, do a good job in disinfection and cleaning of construction sites, canteens, dormitories and other key places, and issue masks, gloves, goggles and other protective equipment for construction personnel to ensure the health of construction personnel. At the same time, carefully organize construction, strengthen joint labor cooperation, strengthen quality and safety control, and promote the construction of key projects in an orderly manner.
