Taijiao High-speed Railway Completed Bridge Erection Plan to Open to Traffic by End of 2020

At 17:00 on May 13, as the last 24-meter-long and 552-ton box girder fell steadily, the 377-hole box girder erection task of the Henan section of the Taijiao high-speed railway constructed by China Railway Seventh Bureau was completed. So far, the Henan section of the Taijiao high-speed railway has been completed, which also marks the completion of the bridge erection of the whole line of the Taijiao high-speed railway, laying a solid foundation for the completion and opening to traffic at the end of this year.
The Taijiao high-speed railway project is not only an important part of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network planned and constructed by the state, but also an important part of the "meter" shaped railway network planned by Henan Province.
The Taijiao high-speed rail line has a total length of about 358.8 kilometers and a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour, of which about 33.4 kilometers in Henan, passing through Jiaozuo, Boai and Qinyang in Henan. There are 13 bridges in the Henan section of Taijiao high-speed railway, with a total length of about 14.64 kilometers, 9.88 kilometers of subgrade and 4 tunnels with a total length of 8.89 kilometers. It is about 325.4 kilometers in Shanxi Province, passing through 14 counties and cities in Taiyuan, Jinzhong, Changzhi and Jincheng. The whole line was started in October 2016 and is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic in December 2020.
